Connection
Your vehicle details are required so we can check the NCTS booking calendar for your exact car.
Why this matters
Cancellations are useful only if you see them in time.
NCT slots can open and vanish quickly, especially around busy centres and retest windows. Manual checking is easy to miss.
Useful when your certificate is expiring and nearby centres are full.
Low one-off alert price for a 60-day monitoring period.
Vehicle details are used only for the monitor you request.
How it works
Set the rules once. Let the monitor do the checking.
Tell us which NCT centres and date windows suit you.
Add the vehicle details needed to check official availability.
We watch for matching cancellations and email you so you can complete the booking with NCTS.
Coverage
Built for Irish appointment queues.
Choose the locations or official appointment flow that actually works for you. The monitor is useful only when the alert matches your real booking options.
Official options and NCT guides
Start with NCTS booking and its free priority list. Wait.ie is an optional independent alert service; it does not give booking priority or reserve appointments.
Open official NCTS bookingsQuestions before you start
Can Wait.ie book the NCT for me?
No. Wait.ie alerts you when matching availability appears. You complete the official booking with NCTS.
What vehicle details are needed?
NCTS availability is tied to a vehicle, so the dashboard asks for your registration plus due date or booking reference where needed.
Is this only for Dublin?
No. Wait.ie is designed for Irish NCT centres nationally, with the locations you choose controlling what we monitor.
Can Wait.ie check NCT cancellations without my registration?
Our exact-appointment monitoring requires your vehicle details. We check the official NCTS booking calendar for your vehicle and email you real appointment slots at the centres you choose. Public lead-time figures are estimates and are never sent as slot alerts.
Is there a free way to look for an earlier NCT?
Yes. You can check the official NCTS booking site yourself. NCTS also offers a priority list during its booking process for customers who need an earlier appointment. Using that route does not require a Wait.ie purchase.
